Description: Arpeggio does everything right: The space itself is lovely, and the service is friendly and professional, and the food exemplifies what casual dining should be. The Sonoma, for example, is a mozzarella-based white pizza studded with fresh tomatoes and sweet little puddles of tomato sauce, both of which counter the richness of the cheese beautifully. It's all set atop a thin, crispy crust that's been baked in a wood-fired oven, and its slight smokiness is the perfect foil for the other flavors, lending them a richness most pizzas never achieve. And the chicken mango salad manages to be both filling and light, a perfect combination in these warmer days of spring. And though each one of the ingredients in the salad is impeccably fresh and perfectly prepared, it's the vinegar that raises it to another level. Arpeggio serves the salad with a side bottle of oak-barrel-aged balsamic vinegar from California's Napa Valley, and just a few drizzles of it are enough to send even the most jaded foodie into fits of ecstasy.
